Last year I got Italic Handwriting Book A and loved it. I decided to get it again this year so I emailed Timberdoodle to switch the handwriting curriculum out for Italic Handwriting Book B in our custom kit. What I like about Book B is that it still goes over the letters but also has a sentence to go with the word chosen for each letter. The way they teach handwriting is this book is so nice. I wish I was taught this way so I’d have pretty handwriting, too.
With Book A I was just erasing each time we finished so we could reuse the book as many times as needed. However, I got an awesome tip to use sheet protectors. Now, I place the book in the sheet protectors (I use the side open ones) and we use Expo markers and erase when done. My daughter loves these books. She gets so excited when she writes a letter in her own and it is written so nicely. She’s able to trace the words and then practice them on her own which I think is a great and another reason why I enjoy this curriculum so much.
I love how she's holding the marker properly! That's sometimes hard for young children.
