Art! Art! Art! We love art class. WThis time we went with Deep in the Jungle Mosaics. It is another Djeco kit since our daughter has really enjoyed the other Djeco kits that we have gotten from Timberdoodle. We have done a mosaic arts and craft be Djeco before so our daughter knew exactly what to do with this one. Do not fret though. If your child has never done one before it will be still be easy for them to do this art kit. Djeco’s manuals are easy ti follow. It is entirely done in pictures and then you do what the pictures show. Very easy and very simple for a young child to do on their own. If you have read some of my other reviews the. You know that I like things that our daughter can do on her own. That way she can be occupied if I need to get some housework done or have to tend to little sis.
Deep in the Jungle Mosaics has 4 projects like the other Djeco kits we have done. And as always I wish they had more than 4 since our daughter loves doing arts and crafts. This particular Djeco kit has a frog, a snake, a bird and a jaguar. Each board is sturdy so I have no worries about them getting bent or messed up which I really like. I love to display our daughters art around the house and with these strong boards I am able to nicely put them on the walls. In this particular Djeco kit you are given a lot of stickers. Some are shiny, some are glittery and some rhinestones. The manual will tell you which ones go where and on what project. The only downside to this kit are the rhinestones. It is the same situation as with the other Djeco mosaic kit we had. They are hard to get off and sometimes the sticky stuff does not come off the sticker page. If the sticker does not have any stickiness I have found that you can still pull it off the page and smush it back onto the rhinestone. So at least you are not wasting a stone. I would suggest this kit. It is easy to do and fun for younger children.
We get our curriculum from Timberdoodle every single year and they have a wonderful selection of arts and crafts for every age. There are even some that I want to get for myself. I will be buying some more art kits from Timberdoodle in the future as you can never have to many art projects to do. If you are looking for things for homeschool or items just to enhance what your child is learning in school then look up Timberdoodle.
Can you guess what 2nd grade item from our Timberdoodle kit we will review next? Here are your clues:
